"Lovely Site but Disappointed, "

Me and my wife booked a week at this site taking our touring caravan, we went from Thursday to Thursday, The site itself is lovely set out and it is kept very clean, and the lake is beautiful. the main thing that won it for us was the fact they they had an onsite lovely restaurant and we were looking forward to having a celebratory meal here, but because of 'Lack of Information' on behalf of the site, this was not to be, We arrived on Thursday and was greeted by the Receptionist who gave us plenty of information, she told us the Restaurant was open Thursday, Friday, Saturday Evenings and Sunday Lunch. and to quote the sites website about the Restaurant 'The Bothy Restaurant is the perfect place to unwind on your break away.' unquote... we decided that we would go for Sunday Lunch, my wife went to the Bothy on the Friday (Day after we had arrived) to get a menu for Sunday Lunch only to be told that They were fully booked for Sunday Lunch, and there were no places, they get booked up weeks in advance. Nobody told us this when we arrived, there is no notification of this on the website, the only notification is that booking is advisable, also we found out that the Restaurant is open to none patrons, so its booked up by people from outside. you would think that this would be mentioned on the website, also you would think they would save some tables for people who are staying on the site as this is meant to one of the site attractions ??? the site fees are not that cheap per night and you pay the extra because the restaurant is part of the attraction to staying. Obviously if the Restaurant is booked up weeks in advance for the Sunday lunch, (as we were informed by the lady in the Restaurant) we would have had no chance of dining there anyway!!!, This should be stated in the website or asked if you would like to book a table when you book your site or when you arrive to pay your site fee... as we were leaving on the following Thursday, we had no chance of a meal at all. seeing as the restaurant was one of the main points of booking this site, we felt that we could have found a site a lot nearer home that is just as nice without a Restaurant. don't think we will visit again, when we asked the owner he just said 'Well it should say on the Website that you 'Have' to book early, well it doesn't, and if that was the case, just HOW early.. a few months??? maybe its a case of Outsiders filling the Restaurant are valued above the caravanners and holiday people who pay the fees that keep the site going. we decided that we would leave earlier than we had when we booked, yes we lost some money as we had paid for the full term but hey, what price is disappointment...

The worst part of my holiday was having to leave! The private hot tub, extremely friendly and helpful staff and amazing lodge made this holiday one of the best I've ever had.

For adults and couples who want peace and quiet in a lovely location with first class accommodation, Beaconsfield is wonderful.

A wonderfully relaxing break. A very clean and cosy lodge in a lovely site run by very friendly staff. Perfect!

A truly relaxing holiday that I can recommend without reservation.

The lodge we stayed in was beautiful, high standard, staff friendly, site clean and very pleasant surroundings. Our lodge looked onto a pond, short drive to a town and Shropshire Way cut through the site, lovely relaxing time.

Because it was such a beautiful site, very peaceful and well kept. Log cabin was beyond our expectations, very comfortable and the view over the lake was so calming there was no need to put on the television with a view like that. We cannot wait to be able to go back and enjoy it all over again. Don't think the brochure did it justice.

A lovely quiet lodge in excellent proximity to Shrewsbury and Hawkestone Park where I would recommend taking a walk.

We have booked through Hoseasons for many years. We have always had a lovely time and found them good value for money.

Lovely modern accommodation on a quiet and beautiful park, close to numerous local attractions.

Ideal for couples wanting to relax, we had an amazing time!

My husband and I stayed at the site from March 4th for the weekend. From the start everything was perfect. We would return and recommend for couples or groups of adults.

A winter holiday, very tranquil and the hot tub was a bonus.

We had a short weekend break at Beaconsfield Park and enjoyed every minute. It was so quiet and restful, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, would recommend it to everyone.

We would definitely recommend this holiday for people who would like a holiday where you can relax and enjoy lovely countryside, location and immaculate accommodation. One final comment was that we enjoyed and would strongly recommend the on site restaurant.

The staff, the park and the lodge were great. When we arrived there were flowers and wine in the lodge. Thank you Beaconsfield Farm and Hoseasons ,it was a great wedding anniversary.

Our holiday was everything we were hoping for:- total relaxation with luxurious accommodation in quiet and peaceful surroundings. We would definitely recommend using a hot tub - a fantastic way to eliminate the stresses of every day life. We would definitely book another similar holiday in the future - maybe next year.

Was very relaxing and enjoyable.

This was one of the best weekends away my partner and I have experienced in this country. A truely beautiful location and the standard of the accommodation was exceptional. The staff on site were polite, welcoming and very informative. We will definitely book again and have already recommended the lodge to our friends and family, despite only been home a few days!

Hoseasons website excellent to use - user friendly. The holiday was wonderful - adults only. The site was clean and the Poole family are very nice people and very professional.

Enjoyed holiday in Caradoc Lodge which was very comfortable and exceeded expectations. Would not hesitate to recommend to others. Site peaceful, relaxing and well kept/maintained.

Great location combined with quality lodges and very helpful staff.

The Wrekin Premier lodge was just beautiful, we didn't want to leave! Lucinda on reception was lovely and welcoming. A beautiful park in a beautiful location.

The park was very clean and well looked after. Very peaceful location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a very relaxing break.

This lodge is wonderful and the restaurant on camp was superb. Friendly staff and perfect meals at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend this to couples who want a romantic break away or to friends as a luxurious base camp.

Fabulous quiet site with excellent lodge accommodation. Excellent access to local attractions.

The accommodation was excellent, to a very high standard. The pictures on the website did not do it justice. We were looking to get away after our holiday being cancelled due to the volcanic ash. We were going to Dominican republic to relax. So we wanted a quiet location with a high standard of accommodation and a hot tub to relax. We got all of this at Beaconsfield Park and our disappointment at not going to Dominican Republic has been eased. Thank you.

Ideal for couples with dogs, and a plus that is adults only, no children.

"Will recommend this site. It is close to Tesco 24hr and a Morrisons Supermarket and there i..."

Will recommend this site. It is close to Tesco 24hr and a Morrisons Supermarket and there is a large market in Tesco car park on Sunday mornings. A number of takeaways and small shops and petrol stations a short car journey.A short walk into village for papers and stores, also parka and ride from Tesco car park into Shrewsbury at £1.40 return journey, nothing to pay if you have your bus pass. About 8 minutes by park and ride bus to the centre of Shrewsbury. Lots of fabulous individual shops and eating places, try the Oriental Banquet in Castle Street and lots of other places to eat. The site is quiet, very clean and well looked after and the caravan was spotless, very modern. We had a very nice holiday at this site and would recommend it without hesitation. Hazel and Les Slater.

Absolutely beautiful lodge! Luxurious and comfortable, didn't want to leave!

We had a great weekend, even in the rain. We stayed in the Wrekin Lodge which is amazing and very luxurious. The staff were brilliant, the park and accommodation was clean and very well kept, and make time to eat in the onsite resturant, the food is fantastic with great staff and a very talented chef. We can't wait for next year!!

The accommodation was stunning, it left me speechless, and it was a lovely touch in that there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the lodge.

A beautiful lodge and beautiful surroundings!

An ideal place to relax and unwind - a get away from it all holiday!

This park is exceptionally clean and well maintained, as was the superb caravan that we stayed in.

It is a very peaceful and pleasant hideaway, close to some interesting and attractive places and good amenities.

Excellent value for money, a particularly good venue for adults who prefer a child free location!

Absolutely fantastic - I would thoroughly recommend this park. Wrekin Lodge was stunning and we were both totally relaxed - shame it had to end!

This park and the lodge we stayed in are the best the UK has to offer - quality dining, a peaceful site in a great location. The owner was very helpful with ideas on days out and lots of tips when travelling about. Five stars from all our party and many thanks for a great time.

A quiet, beautiful and spotlessly clean lodge. Adults only was a real plus!

A lovely, quiet place to relax in a beautiful location.

A super, glorious park - we can thoroughly recommend it!

We wanted quiet and luxury and we got both! We stayed in the Wrekin Premier Lodge and it was fantastic - beautifully furnished, a fabulous hot tub and there was ducks outside in the morning! The staff were wonderful, we didn't want to go home. Although it is in a quiet area it is near enough for sightseeing, shopping and beautiful countryside. We can't recommend this enough!

This lodge is fantastic, beautiful and to a very high standard. The restaurant on site is amazing we had a lovely time and would go back tomorrow!!!

The staff are friendly and helpful and the accommodation is excellant. We had privacy and peace and quiet.
