Top Rated in Gosforth: Wasdale Head Inn, Gosforth, Cumbria, UK

REVIEW BY: M Hamilton - January 2008

The setting for the Wasdale Head Inn couldn't get any better with Scarfell and Great Gable key points on the horizon. Yet despite the setting the Wasdale Head Inn is particularly unfriendly. The sullen Bar Staff do not understand the term 'customer care' and clearly are working there under duress. The Manager was rude and again non-obliging. I really wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone who is expecting a warm and friendly welcome at the Inn.

On the plus side the beer is well kept and makes up a little for what would have otherwise been a thoroughly unpleasant experience.

Wake up to tourism I say - we pay your wages.
