Spent ten nights at Montana Pine Resort. Our first time in Turkey.
We were very impressed with this hotel as the accommodation was excellent with regard to location, cleanliness, food, staff helpfulness and amenities.

The gardens were beautifully maintained and the standard to cleanliness in room was excellent. Friendly atmosphere at all times from all the staff, including bar staff, kitchen staff, waiters, chamber maids. The non cash system adopted in the hotel was convenient and clear.

Drinks were reasonably priced in hotel bars. Free safe hire and courtesy buses to local resort were other added bonuses. Although the nightly entertainment in hotel was varied, after the main event of the night was over, which lasted an hour, things pretty much died a death for the rest of the evening.

We were not informed when booking this holiday of the Visa charge of £10 per person (English currency only accepted) on arrival at the Turkish airport, which could be very awkward if we had not had English currency on us.

The Thomson rep (Richard) was very efficient and helpful and accessible.
We were satisfied with the trips we paid for which included a two day trip and overnight stay in another resort.

We will be returning to Turkey in the future.

Would never return to this resort again. Trip advisor and other review sites only portray the good experiences (approximately 10% of overall guests), trust me there are enough bad experiences to stop you from booking this resort.

Firstly it is in the middle of nowhere and cannot be described as being in Olu Deniz, it is closer to Hisaranou which is some miles up the hill. Hisaranou is a lively resort which compliments the dire programme on offer here.

The food is awful. A family we met with children ate out every day and night for two weeks. Entertainment is the worst I have ever had the misfortune to endure. Staff are all false and seem unnerved at their management and some staff are very disrespectful and can make your holiday stressful and uncomfortable.

Overall a place to avoid. There are many, many better resorts on offer in the region. More people should bother to give their true experience of this place to demonstrate this is not a platinum resort by far.

It is simply a 3 star at best which should not offer any board basis what so ever. Daytimes long, uneventful and boring. Night times disturbed as mentioned above by painful drawn out entertainment! Only positive is, the cleaners keep the place spotless and ground staff keep the gardens nice. Overall in a nutshell. Families with children there is nothing to do.

Young couples will be bored, hungry and stressed. Older guests will struggle to move out of the hotel unless in a taxi as it is perched on a cliff side.

This place needs a complete overhaul and until such time I seriously suggest you think twice before even considering this for your holiday. Its motto, 'for a truly relaxing holiday' is a total disgrace.

If you want to waste your money and dismiss the above then go but I can assure you, you will reflect on this review and wish you had taken notice.

Good clean hotel in pleasant and quiet location. Not suitable for children or teenagers as there is nothing to amuse them and you are away from civilisation.
Ideal for peace and quiet for couples.

It must be noted that this hotel is not suitable for the infirm or elderly as the complex is in the mountains and the resort is on a slope. I was aware from fellow holiday makers that some brochures do not make this clear.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, and were cleaned daily- bedding changed every two days.

Food is varied and of a good quality- however suggest getting in there as the restaurant opens as food soon gets cold and seats are limited.

Staff very friendly and attentive, could not help enough. Slightly understaffed however, dont think it is acceptable to get to your desert course before being asked what you want to drink.

Negatives about the hotel- the extras such as snacks and drinks are very expensive indeed. One pint of beer 6YTL fresh orange juice 6YTL afternoon coffee and cake around the pool= £15! got a very unpleasant shock at check out of £350, which honestly was one shandy, and two pints of beer every night at the evening meal, three toblerones and 6 packets of peanuts from the mini bar so be warned!

What started out as a cheap holiday booked with Portland ended up very expensive indeed.

Safe in the room rental was 3YTL per day but this is advisable as some 2YTL coins vanished from our room, which had been stacked up towards tips for staff.

Overall nice hotel and location, but came away feeling slightly ripped off at the cost of the beverages and the coins incident was rather sad.

We had a great time in Turkey and will definately return. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was great with some fantastic views. There were lots of different activities to do and only wish our holiday was longer.

Montana Pine was full of very helpfull and friendly staff, that kept us entertained. The hotel was kept clean and the food was amazing. Such a lovely area to have a nice relaxing holiday. Not to far away from bus and taxi services which will take you to the georgeous Blue Laguna or Fethye market. The best holiday i have been on.

I plucked up the courage at age 38 to go on holiday on my own for the first time. I chose Montana because it looked peaceful - the perfect adult hotel: and it was. Three pools to chose from during the day. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Wonderful 3 course evening buffet (varied every night) for the ridiculous price of £7 per night. Because Montana is a little way away from Hisaronu/Olu Deniz there are cabs waiting outside the gate of the hotel to take you for a small fee to either resort. I had a wonderful relaxing time. If you go, don't miss the sunset bar which is up and around the mountains (a little bar hut which opens only in the evening so you can watch the sun go down over the sea from comfortable padded pine benches). Fantastic. Also, get in touch with Fly South. For £45 you can go on a 40 minute microlite flight over Olu Deniz to Butterfly valley and over Montana Pine Resort on your way back. The scenery takes your breath away.

What a fantastic place to spend a week. The Montana Pine Resort is one of the best hotels in the area, situated amongst pine forests with stunning views from your accommodation and especially from the restaurant's outside terrace.
Our room was well furnished, had a mini-bar which was replenshied daily and our rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily with linen and towel change also.
The buffet style restaurant (of which I am normally not a fan) was exceptionally good value with high quality, varied menus.
There are five bars to sick and relax at, with evening enterainment arranged (of a high standard I must add. In the evenings why not take a stroll up to the sunset bar and sip a cocktail while watching the sun lowly sink behind the mountains - paradise!
Olu Deniz itself is a purpose built, fairly quiet resort with a good selection of bars restaunts and shops. Fish is the meal of the day here, but watch out for high prices.
A must in Olu Deniz is a stroll along the sand and single beach lagoon - it really is quite magnificent. There are many boat trips daily at very reasonable prices, including lunch and wine - the perfect way to explore the caves and islands surrounding Olu Deniz.
Although not recommened by tour operators, you can also enjoy the beauty of this area from the sky - paragliding! We could not resist and thoroughly enjoyed the 'flight' although the aerial acrobatics did make me feel extremely queasy!
If you are a culture vulture then there is plenty to see and do in this area of Turkey. A 20 minute taxi ride (approx. £8) or a trip on the Dolmus (£1) will take you to Fetijye where there are ancient rock tombs and an amphitheatre, or if you are staying for more than one week you can take a trip to Ephesus or Pummukule (please excuse my spelling of the places).
All in all we had a great time and was pleasantly surprised by Turkey. You will find accommodation and restaurants to suit all budgets and you are sure to have a wonderful time.
