The pool was tiny ,the pool side area was restricted and shaded a lot of the time, the staff were unfriendly, the best sunbeds had towels on at 6.30 am most days, no tea/coffee with lunch or dinner and the younger guests were very noisy and rude when coming back from nights out.

No children under 14 or 18 depending which operator you used but give me children rather than clubbing british guests any day. The food served was very good and the rooms were spotless although the bathrooms are very very small.

The beach was only 5 minutes walk away and was lovely and clean so was the resort itself with a nice mix of shops restaurants and bars.
I would love to revisit this area again but not this hotel.

"The palma nova palace was a great hotel, the only problem was the dining room, quite compact..."

The palma nova palace was a great hotel, the only problem was the dining room, quite compact and in my opinion a bit dangerous because of the layout. When we arrived in the early hours of the morning due to delays at the airport we had to buy juice and water, we could have murdere a cup of tea and a asandwich, especially my 81 year old mother. The room they gave us had no ceiling in the bathroom, it was lying on the floor when we opened the door.

They gave us another room wich was a good size for three adults, it wasn't the top floor wich we had asked for but it was fine. The holiday didn't get of to a great start but it improved. I was taken to hospital on the tuesday and kept in over night and the staff were great, they couldn't help enough. The reception staff were very helpful and the two mytravel reps Jade and Naz were fabulous. The food in the hotel was good always something to suit, entertainment not too great, bar staff great especiallu Juan Hose, I think there was trhee of him, he was there first thing in the morning till last thing at night.
We will go back next year they do a mean pina colada.

As a person who had always shied away from the 'package holiday' scene it was with some trepidation that I agreed to go on a last minute deal to Majorca, and I am pleased to say that this holiday has changed at least some of my pre conceived ideas.

Our hotel was excellent and was only minutes from the beach and all the shops and public transport was easily accessible.
The hotel itself was immaculate and well organised. The 'animacion' team ably led by Susanna was excellent.

The variety and quality of food was in my opinion as a serious foodie was excellent.
I would gladly return here.

There were 20 in our party ranging in age from 19 to 68 and everyone of us had a fabulous holiday. The hotel is in a great position, about 5 minutes at most to the beach of Palma Nova which is spotless and cheap to hire sunbeds, 9 euro for 2 beds and an umbrella. The rooms were kept clean as were the public areas. The pool area is a little on the small side but it was never crowded anyway so we thought it no problem at all. Eating was a delight with a varied menu and not one complaint at all from any of our party, the drinks were plentiful with no long waits at the bar and we found the entertainment to be some of the best in a Spanish hotel, though maybe not to everyones taste (our last night there was an Il Divo tribute band and they were brill) There is no smoking in the bar so good news for all none smokers though it can get a little warm later on.
I do agree the clientelle, on the whole, is more mature, 50+ but there were still young groups of people on return breaks.
I would recommend this hotel but go with the intention of enjoying yourself and not to complain at the slightest thing and you will have a great time. Remember you can stay home and be miserable and save a fortune in the process.

The transfer to hotel excellent, the room we were allocated was above stage area so we asked to be moved. The rooms were clean and staff pleasant. After the first night the resident compere went on holiday and so I think did the chef. The entertainment was poor to say the least [highlight of evening was single game of BINGO] and so I think was the choice of evening meals [unless you adore veg soup followed by chicken [the fiirst night we had chef carving meat and was very tasty but never saw him again for the whole fortnight].
The shops and most of the bars were closed when we arrived and I did think can I go home please[we were not informed that everywhere would be shut until after we had finished our holiday] Do not go here untill middle of February onwards [unless you like a good sleep during the day]. (Blackpool)

This is a hotel for the older generation, our group who are all female and aged 20-30 were looked at as if we'd just stepped out of a space ship. Some of the older guests were very rude & even complained that we were wearing bikinis (shock horror - it was 32c temp) one lady came up to one of our party & told us we shouldnt be staying there as it was only for the over 50's - which was totally untrue as there were some younger couples staying there as well. Apart from this the hotel was very clean & was perfectly positioned for the beach - 5 mins walk & Magaluf was a short taxi ride away. The food was very nice & the restaurant v.nicely presented. I loved the fact that there were no children allowed as it meant you could relax in peace & quiet at the pool. As I say the only thing which could have spoiled it for us was the attitude of some of the other guests however some of the older ladies thought we were a breath of fresh air & were very friendly. I'd stay here again with my husband but maybe not with the girls! (Sunderland)

A typical 4* Spanish Hotel built in the 70’s and refurbished in the 90’s it offers a comfortable base for adults (no under 14s allowed) who do not want to be in the centre of the resort. The beach, shops and bars are less than 10 minutes walk away and so we had no problem with noise outside the hotel at night.

As you would imagine, the bedrooms are also typical of a 4* hotel but the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in early December however the rooms were air-conditioned and we were able to keep the room cool during the day and pleasantly warm at night. The bathroom was compact but clean and included a hair dryer.

We booked the all inclusive option for a ridiculous sum of £5 per person per night via the internet (tour operators charge around £10) which is very worthwhile. The bar was open from 8.00 am until midnight and you could get a meal or snack from the dining room during this time except for short periods when they were preparing for the next meal. Food on the whole was excellent and they excel at roast meats at dinner – I’ve never tasted beef, pork or veal as tender as at this hotel.

The hotel provides entertainment both during the day and in the evening using its own small but enthusiastic Spanish team. Guests were entirely British until a small number of Spaniards arrived for one of their ‘bank holiday’ weekends.

My wife and I will certainly be staying at this hotel again. (Southport)

"I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have stayed..."

I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few. The food was 5 star quality, breakfast, lunch and diner was amazing. Even the way your table is laid for each meal. You don't have to get your own cutlery or glasses at breakfast like you have to do in most hotels, The table is laid out well with your wine and water glasses. The red and white wine are very nice and on tap in the resturant, just get a jug and help your self. Amazing food, beautiful desserts and something for everyone. Staff were lovely. Entertainment was good and we played archery, bowls, riffle shooting and won a few of their medals. It was a great laugh and we met lots of lovely people. Rooms very nice. Right next to a church, you hear the bells going off in the morning (depending on which part of the hotel your staying at), but it's lovely. Your right behind the crazy golf, which is lovely and well worth a visit (cheaper if you buy tickets from hotel). 10 minutes to beach, lovely and clean. Nice restuarants near by, but we didn't eat anywhere else except the hotel as it was so good. Only complaint was that where the bar is, is long and thin sittin area and there wasn't really anywhere for non-smokers, except through the back at the card tables. It got rather smokey, but in summer months the doors would be wide open or you could sit at the pool, it would not be a problem in summer. Would go back in a minute. Bus stop very close by to take you into Palma, cheap and there in 25 minutes. Lovely 5 out of 5. (glasgow)

"We were very apprehensive having read other reports for this our first visit to Majorca-..."

We were very apprehensive having read other reports for this our first visit to Majorca- booked before we looked!
Palma Nova and the Hotel- at this time of year anyway, were excellent. The Hotel is really a very good 3 star, the staff and the food were excellent. For what we paid, just over £300 each all inc, it was excellent value for money. The town is very well maintained with a choice of shops and bars crystal water and lovely beaches. I certainly would not class it as Blackpool with sun.
We hired a car and did most of the 'rep' trips ourselves. The island is lovely, would not hesitate visiting Majorca and this hotel again.
So if you are a bit worried having read the other reports and are not going in the 'HIGH' season, I am sure you will enjoy the Island, location and the hotel, unless you expect a Palace for this sort of money.
