The Hotel Alicia is situated in an excellent location along the seafront overlooking the promenade. The award-winning Hotel Alicia, which is part of the Protur group, is perfectly placed to enjoy the amenities at both Cala Bona and the livelier resort of Cala Millor. Guest facilities at the The Hotel Alicia include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, a games room, public internet terminals, television lounge and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include an outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's section and spacious sun terraces and gardens furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated pool with sauna and gymnasium, as well as a children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Rooms at the The Hotel Alicia have a bathroom, WC, shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box and a balcony or terrace, most of which have either pool or sea views.

Recently spent a fantastic week at Hotel Alicia. Cannot fault anything about this hotel. Beautiful location, excellent facilities - there is even an outside jacuzzi in the decked Solarium area. The one man animation team Chris deserves a mention. He always had a smile on his face and worked relentlessly to make everyone feel welcome and put on a range of activities daily to keep both adults and children amused. His Bongo Bingo is something else.

We went the first week in July before the main school holidays and have to say that the resort is very much geared up to the more mature holidaymaker. No 18-30s here and was worried that my 15 year old son was getting bored. Once he'd found some friends of his own age, he was fine.

Really worth going on a boat trip to Porto Cristo and the open top bus ride to Sa Coma is worth a try. All in all had a lovely relaxing week.

Staff in hotel great and sea views from our fourth floor room were to die for. Wish the ash cloud would have reappeared so we could have stayed another week.

Went for an early break with the family and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a family room which though adequate would be a littlen on the small side for families with teenagers. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good.

Must admit we ate out several times just to relive the boredom that comes with most hotels catering. The outdoor pool is as with a lot of pools nowadays on the cold side but okay. When we were there we got sunbeds quite easily, admittedly it was out of season.

Staff in the hotel are very helpful. You are a short walk to the centre of cala bona and the beach. However, if you want a better quality beach in our opinion, go to Cala Millor which is about 15 minutes walk away.

Very good hotel but holiday spoilt by evening entertainment at adjacent bar Casa roman. If you have a pool view room do not expect to sleep till after midnight. The bar has live entertainment nearly every night.Rep not helpful, reception explained they could not change our room to a sea view as Portland controlled room allocation.

The Hotel contacted Portland and we were changed but at a cost. Having checked on the web the difference in price for two weeks sea view is £28 we were charged £87 36. Sharp practice, but we could not stand another week of hell.

Just come back from the Alicia, this was booked last minute and we were really pleased with the hotel and resort. The beach closest to the hotel is very rocky but its only a 5 min walk to Cala Millor beach which is soft sand with lovely clear sea, it was very busy but it was to be expected in July/Aug.

The Hotel offers a good selection of food all nicely presented and of good quality, the restaurant is not too busy and all the staff very pleasant. Our 2 rooms were a good size, modern, nice decor, cleaned every day with the most FANTASTIC sea view ever.

The only negatives were the air conditioning in the bedrooms was not cold enough, evening entertainment could have been better and there was not enough to occupy the boys during the day, no water polo etc. only one torn pool table and the table tennis is located in the 'old Gym' with no air conditioning so it was too hot to play.

We also paid for meals on the plane but feel they were poor quality for the money.

The Alicia proved to be an excellent choice. We had been to Cala Bona once before to the Hotel Taliot but fancied something different. Alicia was just right. Excellent food, endless choice and very good staff. Complimentary meal offered for one night of you stay well worth accepting in the a la carte restaurant. Superb meal and service. Did not use the indoor pool as the outdoor one was excellent. Numerous sunbeds both around the pool and on grassed areas around the trees, together with a raised decking solarium area for the serious sunbathers ( with no children). Our room was excellent and overlooked the pool and caught all of the afternoon and evening sun. Air conditioning was controllable and adjustable within the room. Evening entertainment was excellent. Top acts in the outdoor area aside the pool. Hotel in excellent location adjacent to the long flat tiled promenade. Walk one way to the lovely refurbished marina with bars and eateries and beyond. Walk to other way and it will take you about 50 minutes to reach its end and the headland seperating Cala Bona fron Sa Coma. Assorted Bars etc on route for drinks and meals. Even returned a second day to venture a further 45 minutes on to the headland to Sa Coma Castle on the top. Bit of a treck, but path ok and well worth the views and cool drink on arrival. TIPS :- We hired bikes near to Hotel Levanti for 4 hours and cycled along promenade, around the road (Pavements) to Sa Coma and on to S'Illiat. Lovely little cove and a few bars overlooking the bay. Safe, easy riding for us not used to it and comfortably returned within the 4 hours. A very good day out. TIP :- Take a ride on the 'Noddy' train to the terminus in each direction and then walk back. Two very good days out. TIP :- Organised walk from the Hotel to Sanserva market in the hills on Fridays. Took us about one hour. Beware its a steady climb all the way but worth the explore round the old village when you get there. Market only belts and bags. Took the left turn from the main road coming out of the village and took the more interesting lanes route rather than the main road we had gone on. Would definitely recommend the Alicia and Cala Bona. Planning to take family there in 2008 !.

This hotel certainly lived up to the good reports I had read about it. The reception staff were very efficient, and the cleaners and restaurant staff were very friendly. The food was excellent; you would have to be very hard to please not to go home several pounds heavier!
The hotel was ideally situated, as a walk into Cala Millor for the multitude of shops was quick and easy along the promenade. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk from the hotel (turn right) which has a good range of alcohol and also does baguettes etc. which seemed to be popular.
Entertainment was a little hit and miss..The Lord of the Dance show was very good, better than the one I saw in Ibiza in 2006, but the Grease show was a let down!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, just bear in mind that the clientele is mainly older people so not ideal for children!

Enjoyed return visit to the Alisia 27th October to 3rd November. Food is still excellent. Reasonable accommodation with good views. Unable to fault the hotel staff. The prices for snacks and drinks at the bar compare favourably with other local outlets. The one downside is the entertainment. Only two good nights entertainment for the week with the rest either poor or non existent. The Levante Hotel nearby was better for entertainment but this still was not consistent.

I would still recommend the hotel and most likely have a return visit.

This was our second visit to this lovely friendly hotel.

The location simply makes it - you can not get any closer to the sea from your balcony. The views when you wake in the morning - WOW.
Staff very friendly and food superb. Husband put on 5 lbs in a week!
Cala Bona is pretty well closed in Jan/Feb but there are a few shops/supermarkets and bars open. The Alicia seemed to be the only hotel open though. A fairly short walk takes you to Cala Millor which did appear to have more open. (Sudbury)

We stayed here for two weeks in January, the room was spacious( and end one) our friends next door also had no compaints about the room, they have all recently been refurbished and the balcony faced the sea a matter of 30 feet away. There was always a good choice of food, I suppose that one would say chips again but that was the only thing, our tables were cleared before we returned with the next course and the clothes were changed if needs be. Where else can you get a 2 week holiday for £240 per person, including flights, transfers, hotel and food, how can any one say Portland are expensive! and that was the brochure price not a late deal!!!!!

In my opinion this was the WORST holiday I have had, and that's saying something! There was one lovely thing about this hotel and that was the room, the room we stayed in was a family room and it was gorgeous and spacious. The cleaners came to the room everyday and the standard of the cleaning was very high. But the room was all I found good. Lets start with the meals-if you like chips this is the place for you, even served at breakfast! For your stay you keep the same table which is nice but it would even nicer you had got a clean table cloth more often than once a week and even more nicer would have been to have dirty plates took away when you had finished with them instead of waiting until you had left the table!weekly gala dinner think we blinked and missed that one along with the cookery and cocktail demos. Evening entertainment disco great if you like waltzes and foxtrots with line-dancing thrown in not much else to say except the magician the highlight of the week. Before i go i would like to say a very big thank you to Leive the hotel entertainment (person)without whom we would not have lasted the week. If you feel this report is harsh please feel free to try it but do not invite us as it is one experience we would not like to repeat thank you.
