| | Comments: | The beach is isn't really a beach as such, of course the sand is brilliant white and there is a crystal clear ocean splashing onto the sand, but the sunbathing is done near the waters edge in a sand dune. It's being kept natural with the wild grass and trees providing protection from the wind and the sun. This comment is not a put down as it was nice, in fact the best part about the holiday. I really enjoyed my time on the beach taking in the scenery and the calmness of the sea which never seems to ripple, the perfect place to relax from work.
However if you like a good meal on your holiday then don't go to Cuba, the food was great if you wanted to eat salad every night but if you are looking for something more then you will be greatly disappointed. My girlfriend is a Vegetarian and she was extremely bored with the choice and the standard after the first few nights. They would cook something to a special request however.
The sun didn't shine for us too much unfortunately, however we were there in November which is towards the end of the rainy season. When the sun did shine is was beautiful.
