|I went to Puerto Plata Villiage with my 2 friends. They had been before in the May and returned again in Sepember with me. Obviously it is rated by them.|
I have been to many countries and this was by far the best. The food in the main resturant was fab with a wide range to choose from. The other resturants (Mexican, International and Italian) were also great.
The staff were so friendly, we were even invited to a member of staffs house one day, we went and met up with other staff who were on their day off and sat drinking beer and listening to music with about 15 members of staff. Not only did we have a holiday but we seen a bit of culture as well.
There is a little lugga bus that takes you from the hotel to the beach but if not it takes about 2 mins to walk if that. There was activites on the beach and fab BBQs on the beach.
There were activities first thing of a morning till last thing of a night.
Aerobics if you are up early, bike riding, treasure hunt and other games for children, learn to salsa, samba etc. After tea time you can go and watch performances from the staff and then go and dance the night away at their on site club.
There is just so much to add, the pool was very clean, with a swim up bar.
The Hotel Rooms were spotless and clean towels every day.
I would go back here in a flash.

|Situated on the north of the island the natural port was discovered by Christopher Columbas in the 1490s. There are many attractions in the city including the Victorian mansions and the historic fort, Furte de San Felipe. There is a long boardwalk lined with Dominican restaurants, where you can enjoy authentic local food and take in the fabulous views of the port and Atlantic Ocean. Other places to visit are the Brugal Rum Distillery, the Amber Museum, where you can see insects, reptiles and flowers trapped in resin. Take a trip up Mount Isabel de Torres by cable car for the amazing views of the area, and also see the statue of Christ the Redeemer.|
