The purpose-built 12-acre touring park, opened in May 2002, has 60 pitches, many with hard-standings, all fully serviced for electricity, TV, and waste water. The excellent facilities block contains showers, wash cubicles, toilets, disabled access bathroom, family bathroom, a washing-up area and a laundry room. The site, which has a lake and an amenity and picnic area, is a perfect spot for a relaxing break and an ideal base for touring the region. | | Comments: | It has been many years since we enjoyed caravaning with our children, so having decided to try it again we were rather out of touch with camp sites.
As we needed to put our caravan on a site for a full season we wanted to be sure that we chose a good one.
Townsend has without doubt been the best choice that we could possibly have made.
From day one we have enjoyed every moment, it is to us, a paradise on earth.
Being a christian I (Pamela) am always amazed by the beauty of nature and at Townsend you are surrounded with nature especially the wildlife.
We have made many friends, mainly the bird variety, the ducks greet us when we arrive and join us every mealtime and welcome us each morning, a little early sometimes perhaps.
The childrens play area is also very good.
It is wonderful to see the hens,cockerals,ostriches and Geese running free.
The facilites are excellent,toilets,showers and bathroom are kept immaculate.
Laundry, vegetable preparation and washing up area are all kept in good order.
Waste disposal area is cleared regulary and facilities for animals is very good.
Geoff, Sue and all the staff are always friendly and ready to help in anyway.
It is not surprising that we have already booked for next year.
