| | Comments: | If the accomodation had been advertised as two star then we wouldnt have many complaints. As it is advertised as four star we expected more. The food being the worst culprit. If you like pork chops,(fried), steak,(fried) cold chips, cold pasta, bread rolls that are anything but fresh, and fruit then the hotel wont be a problem. Oh and if your kids like fish fingers then they will be ok.
The pool area was cleaned on the last two days we were there. (14 days)
The evening entertainment will suit some, if you are easily pleased and prepared to either drink bad beer or pay 4.5 euros for a bottle of drink.(smirnoff ice etc)
Kids club! There is, if the truth be known, no kids club, though if you take your sixteen year old daughter, the entertainment team will look after her.
The maids were efficient, if you all get up at 8-830 every day. Though they do a pleseant enough job.
If the hotel has security we didnt see any, though there were no problems to report.
Having stayed at the Sol Tenerife, a four star hotel last year, I would have to say the Hotel Esmarelda is nowhere near as good in either facilities or entertainment.
I could go on but I'm sure I've painted the picture as we saw it.
The resort and beaches were excelent, the weather superb and we will be back in Tenerife. Probably next year, but it wont be at the Hotel Esmarelda.
