| | Comments: | Our second holiday here. We had the same holiday last Xmas/New Year. It was not as good as previous holiday. There were some obvious signs of economising in the very small things. The New Years Eve entertainment had been sold to the locals as dinner/caberet at expensive prices that took the best tables so hotel guests were excluded in the main. There was trouble for the management about that. I do agree with one of your other reports that said it is not a true 5 star hotel. I think entirely due to the way it is managed. The buildings, pools, etc. and location are excellent. I found that the staff were (changed mostly) not as helpful as last year. One other significant change was that when paying the extras by credit card, H10 Hotels set the exchange rate very much in their favour and charge your card in your own national currency. It amounted to about 3.2% extra on what my card provider would have charged. A word on the Cosmos package, it should have been an 'ELITE' holiday but there was not any Monarch Plus and prebooked seats were ignored. Cosmos reps visit the hotel 'by appointment', we had to phone for one.
