The clientel at the IFA beach hotel was older than younger people there so it was very relaxing during our stay.
The staff were very nice, helpful and spoke good English.
Weather was very good, just what we needed some Winter sunshine.
We were given a ground floor room which was clean and well fitted, maybe a bit basic but fine. Our room was cleaned every day.
Towels could be hired for the week for 5 Euros.
The day and evening entertainment was good, I liked the aquagym.
The beach is straight out of the back of the hotel.
There is a life guard on duty at the poole which were clean and well kept.
Meals were good with a wide selection of meat, fish and side dishes and mouth watering desserts including ice cream, cakes and fruit. I loved the pancakes at breakfast! Not forgetting the great choice of cocktails.
Deffinately love to return to this hotel.
The IFA Beach hotel is located in San Agustin directly on the beach and you can walk along the promenade into Playa del Ingles.
The bus stop is two minutes walk from hotel and prices are reasonable if you want to see more of the island.
There are a few shops and restaurants near hotel.

San Augustin is a small and compact resort, that merges with it's more famous neighbour Playa del Ingles. Not a lot of hotels are here, but they are of a higher standard than the other resorts, and the beaches right along this area of the coast, all tend to be crowded in summer. A few bars and a casino are there for your entertainment as the sun goes down, but although there are some shops and supermarkets in resort, your best bet for gifts is to go to Las Palmas.
Quiet and relaxing restaurants are the order of the day here, with a good choice in local dishes. Albendigos (spicy meatballs), Rabo de Toro (oxtail with onions and spices) and the fish specials Calamari (squid in batter) and Sopa de Pescado (fish stew in garlic and tomatoes) are all worth a try. The local beers are very good value as are the many wines on offer, with the obligatory Sangria found everywhere. You might struggle to find fast food style cooking here, but the version available in the bars and pubs is quite edible. and all served with chips and a great salad.
