| | Comments: | | Having originally booked for superclub breezes and after considerable problems with First Choice Customer Services, we managed to change to this hotel. This being our first all inclusive holiday, we did not know what to expect. This hotel can only be described as fantastic. Accomodation was spacious and clean, the only complaint i have is that booking as three adults we did not get the two double beds as expected, but a king size and what can only be described as a basic folding bed. After making the rep and hotel staff aware this was never resolved, this did not matter too much as my son slept well in it, just a little disapointed after what we had paid. Beach was fantastic plenty of sunbeds although you do need to get up early to secure the best ones. Water sports are quite good but the staff do seem more interested in selling additional activities than helping with the all inclusive sports. Grounds and swimming pools excellent always being maintained to a high standard, again get up early to secure the best sunbeds. All staff are very friendly and helpful, they work extremely hard and are always smiling and happy. Read a lot of reports about tipping staff, this is entirely at your discretion and not expected. You can do as much or as little as you like, there is plenty to do and although invited to join in you are not made to feel pressured to take part. Evening entertainment is good and carried out by the hotel entertainment team, they put a lot of effort in and work extremely hard. Food was very good plenty of variety and catered for the fussiest of eaters. Tried Italian and Steakhouse and pizzeria restaurants all very good. Did not try Mexican as we had heard it was not very good. Did not try Oriental as our son was not over 18 but had heard excellent reports. Shopping is an experience, most shops selling the same things, but if you go into one shop you have to look in them all as they feel offended. Plenty of haggling, pay about 50% of orriginal price. As for excursions we only did one which was Saona Island, this was a fantastic day out and well worth doing. All in all we had a great time and would go back to this hotel tomorrow.
