| | Comments: | This resort doesn't know the meaning of customer service. Although the setting is fantastic (small island on top of a barrier reef) the staff treat you with distain, the transportation to the island is abismal and outrageously expensive ($300 US for a 14 mile boat ride in a 18 foot open motor boat).
The full description of this resort is Pelican Beach Resort, South Water Caye facility in Dangriga Belize. $225 US per night buys you a 16'x 12'shack with a 4' piece of foam to act as a mattress. NOTHING is stocked on the island. If tou want a beer, it must be rought from the mainland and huge prices. If you want a pice of chewing gum, toothpaste, or anything else it must come from the mainland. the other resort on the island DOES have these things stocked but you can't purchase anything unless you are a guest of their resort.
