| | Comments: | After a very long flight, you start to wonder if you have done the right thing. That is all forgotten the minute you arrive in Goa. The greeting we received was so friendly you immediatley fell in love with the place.
The hotel we stayed in was beautiful. The room was very spacious, a lovely view from the balcony and everything you could possibly need.
When we walked into the grounds we couldn't believe our eyes. Breathtaking views , palm trees, hammocks and beautiful white sand.
The people of Goa just cannot do enough for you. They are all very keen to introduce all of their family to you and always there to help with your every need. These people are very poor. The poverty is unbelievable, but they all so happy to see you and offer you a freindly smile it makes you feel honoured to have met them. Everything in Goa is very cheap. You can have someone take you out in a taxi all day, carry your shopping for you and wait several hours in the hot sun while you hang around the beach and at the end of the day they will charge you approx £8. Amazing.
Our holiday was a very different holiday to the usual Europe trip, but to sum it up in a few words. Think of paradise and double it.
