Club Acapulco Address: CATALKOY, KYRENIA Club Acapulco Holiday Village is situated on 100.000 square meters of land. The best beach to be found in Northern Cyprus is where Club Acapulco is located, with a km of golden beach and untouched beauty. Club Acapulco has sea and mountain views that have to be seen. Please send in your pictures of this resort or hotel Report number 1 of 1 Ratings: Location Accommodation Childrens Clubs Overall   View the individual category scores Add your Hotel Review / Holiday Report Details: Male Adults: 1 Date: July 2004 Female Adults: 1 Tour Operator: Cyrprus Holidays Number of Children: 2 (5-10yrs) Board: Half Board Comments: The hotel has very good public facitlies but the private facilites in particular the bungalows are very small, cramped with no balcony or outside seating area and simply inadequate for 4 people. Most people try to upgrade to a room in the main hotel but this costs £10.00 per person per night. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the food and location are outstanding but there is nothing within walking distance except the beach which is right beside the hotel. Sunbeds at the pool and the beach are free and plentiful. However the drink is expensive. The wine was exactly five times more expensive than a supermarket. Secondly the small shop on site did not sell any food, drinks, lollies etc so the hotel had a monopoly on these as there were no other bars or shops within walking distance. We hired a car and brought some drinks in from the main town but these were confiscated from the fridge in our room. Other guests had their duty free which they brought from the airport confiscated from their cupboards and even a kettle and a packet of biscuits was taken. Confiscated goods were supposed to be returned on departure but many of ours were missing. Kyrenia town is quaint unspoilt and worth a visit. I would recommend the hotel but only on the basis of two people staying in an hotel room who loved good food and did not mind being ripped off for drinks.
