for those wanting to learn to ski in a friendly family resort i would definitely recommend Winter Park in the USA. An excellent ski school coupled with easy to use lifts and glorious snow made this a great holiday. the hotel was a free, short bus ride from the slopes and another bus in tyhe evning took us into town where a selection of friendly restuarants pleased everyone in our group. I cannot praise our operator, Ski Independence enough. WE booked our holiday direct and they were always efficient and friendly - cheaper than many of their competitors too!
