| | Comments: | What a fantastic place to holiday. We have been to cuba before(stayed at the dacquerie) and knew we would go back again, this time to be married. The staff were fantastic, we had a wedding co-ordinator named Mary and she made us feel at ease the moment we met her. We were there 9 days before the wedding so everyone was all tanned up.Taken to the Cabbana by pony and trap, had the cuba photographer, and video, pictures and video taken in and around the grounds of the hotel, then pony and trap trip to the Sol Hotel next door.(great pics and video). The day was great due to Mary the staff and my family and friends(thank-you all for being fantastic and looking so good). The ladies all dressed up to the nines (hair done by the hotel hairdresser) looked lovely. The men all in their loud carribean shirts looked the part. A day that you arn't meant to forget and we won't forget that one. The hotel bar staff cannot be faulted (thanx to Youmanis) we had a wedding breakfast for 15 and the table he laid was just perfect, we had champagne, flowers, and flower petals scattered the table. So if you are thinking of planning a wedding i recommened this Hotel 100%
Now for the Hotel what can i say? the cuban people are so friendly, our rep Lino a great bloke knows his job spends time just chatting to you and he makes you feel like you have known him for ages. Jimmy one of the entertainment team another really nice bloke always happy and laughing. Johnny in customer services always helpful. I could sit here and name several people but there are too many so just to say a big thanx to all the staff for being so great. The grounds were always kept spotless, we had a few rainy afternoons, and early evenings but the staff were there sweeping, cleaning and making sure everyone was ok. The beach and warm waters are kept clean and the tractor comes every morning to pick up the dead seaweed and take it away. 3 good little shops and a cigar shop and a small market all on site were very inexpensive. I have sat here and thought of 'what would i change' only one thing comes to mind and that is the length of our stay we all could of done with 3 weeks or longer. A wonderful holiday from start to finish THANX MELIA AND THOMAS COOK.
