This is a couples-only resort (and management defines couples as "any man and woman in love"). Most are married, and many are on their honeymoons. Everything is in pairs, even the chairs at night by the moon-drenched beach. Some guests slip away from the resort, which is an 18-minute drive (8km/5 miles) east of town, to Coupless private island to bask in the buff. (A shuttle boat transports visitors offshore to this beautiful little island with a fine sandy beach, a bar, and a pool. Security guards keep the gawkers from bothering guests here.)In general, this is a classier operation than the more mass-market Sandals (at least the Dunns River and the Ocho Rios versions). The bedrooms have either a king-size bed or two doubles, pleasantly traditional furnishings, and a patio fronting either the sea or the mountains. Good-size bathrooms have a shower/tub combination. | | Comments: | | Once you get over the arrival at the airport & checks done on you then the subsiquent journey to the hotel which takes around 2 & 1/2 hours (advise taking the plane shuttle to the hotel). Eventualy you get to the hotel & all those problems are soon put behind you. Your reception at the hotel is fantastic champagne & a cold towel to cool you off, short registartion process then all your suitcases & bags are taken to your room for you. The rooms are just perfect plenty of room & very clean, but if you have any problems they are put right straight away if possible. The staff at the hotel are some of the friendliest people you could ever meet, resturants are fantastic & so is the food, form the Jamaican to the Italian right uup to the French resturant. This is the place to go if you have ever wanted to try nude sunbathing, as they have there own private island with a shuttle to & from it when ever you want ( but pleeze dont go over there if you are one of those people who just want to go & look ) you will soon be shown the way back from the island, 4 people to look out for who will do anything for you are Colymore on the glass bottom boat Ava on the customer guest desk delroy on the beach ( what a character) & Riddley the photographer, these are just some of them but believe me there are plenty more fantastic staff there. Dunns river falls is a must & also the horse riding, but all the trips are free & you are not just limited to going once you can go as many times as you want (Free). We got married there & the wedding was just perfect what a fantstic location. The pictures are just stunning & if you ask the staff there they will take photos with your camera & also if you have a video camera ask papa & he will do it for you just give them something for doing it for you. To sum up this is the closest to paradise you will get well thats our opinion & if you come away from here dissapointed it will only be your own fault lol.
