| | Comments: | Beautiful hotel, let down by mediocre repetitive food. Sat in the bar area for 15 mins before anyone came to serve, dead, no atmosphere, no entertainment in the whole week we were there.
Yes we walked a lot as there was nothing else to do but I have had 2 operations on my spine so this was not what I had planned to do. You are lead to believe that the hotel provides entertainment, so it was a complete disappointment.
The staff were friendly but they have been let down by lack of back up. At 60 I am not a party animal but hey guys I did expect some entertainment, even just 2 nights out of 7.
First Choice say that the food is designed to cater for all types, so why were guests eating out several nights, the hotel staff say all the family rooms were booked yet the restaurant was only a quarter full each time we went down.
They state on the entertainment issue in their email to me
'You mention in your letter that you were unhappy with the lack of
entertainment at the Tenerife Golf Hotel. As I am sure you can appreciate,
entertainment in hotels can vary. Some hotels have a full day and night
programme and some choose not to offer this facility.
Entertainment comes in many forms such as cabaret, competitions or live music. Sometimes the advertised programme may change without prior notice and be amended after receiving feedback from our customers.
So there we go, and here's me thinking I was off for a holiday.
