| | Comments: | Cala D’or Park club Apts are quite basic but functional and comfortable. There is no TV and no toaster but they have pretty much everything else you need for budget holiday accommodation.
The apts are made up of several blocks which are no taller than two stories. This, obviously, means that half the apartments are on the ground floor and therefore have no balcony. This makes them quite dark and you feel somewhat exposed sitting outside your font door rather than sitting on your balcony. Fortunately we got our room changed to one on the second floor but that was the last one available. Best to insist to your TA that you are given a balcony apt and make this a condition of the booking.
Cala D’or itself is is a relaxed spot with 2 really nice beaches and loads of restaurants and bars. It customer base seems to be predominantly British and German with a few Irish thrown in The age group seems to mainly young couples with young or older couples. This is not a resort for singles looking for action!
This resort is mainly for people who want to wind down and recharge the batteries. The restaurants are very good value but apart form eating and lying on the beach there is not a whole lot to do here. There are no water sports. There are a few ferry trips which are not that great, but a good way to kill half a day if you get bored.
Fav Restaurant – Casablanca. Excellent service and amazing steaks.
