What does one go to Las Vegas for? Sensory overkill! You might as well enjoy your hotel whilst there, and we just had a great time at New York, New York. It's right bang in the middle of the strip action, near all the other great hotels that you must visit. It's easy from airport, has great parking garage attached, and standards are good. Bars, eating establishments and shopping in hotel are all you need, without paying extortionate prices of some others. Gambling is standard - it is Las Vegas! Roller Coaster is crazy, unfortunately pool was being cleaned on day we wanted, but so be it. I can recommend NY,NY, for a good stay. 9/11 tribute under Statue of Liberty is very poignant and moving, and brings a little reality to this mad town! NY,NY, is at the heart of Las Vegas, so go and enjoy! If you ever get to bed - most comfortable!
