| | Comments: | This place has to be seen to be believed. The Atacama desert is the driest place on earth and just to look at the stars in the night sky on arrival is amazing.It never even gets cloudy !
We fancied something completly different, away from a beach holiday. This hotel provides fully included escorted tours around the Andes, into Salt Lake flats, local villages, to early moring geyser watching. You can also go horse riding or just laze around one of four pools.
The meals are silver service, with superb food and quality wines, in a relaxed informal enviornment. This 5* hotel is not a place for children, but ideal for those who wany to get away from the rat race and thousands of people for an energetic walking holiday - or just relax. Take some good boots !
Its designed as something completly different and acheives just that for that special holiday - if a little energetic. Take a good camera you will need it !
We capped this off with a weekend in the smog of Santiago - Chile's capital. A couple of nice places but wouldnt go back. Just has to re-condition ready for London again !
