| | Comments: | Fantastic holiday, hotel very clean with well kept gardens and pool, staff very friendly and helpfull. Food good and very cheap (for hotel prices). On the beach is a very good bar, the maraharja, that serves excellent food and drinks at amazing cheap prices. be brave and venture into town its great fun and such an eye opener, if you walk it you will never be stuck for company or help. Go by tut tut and its about 200 rupees return. When shopping go to the fixed price shops, they are much cheaper, but not as much fun as haggling. All the food we had in sri lanka was fantastic, and very cheap. The golden grill was excellent the staff and owner so friendly couldn't do enough to help we went there twice, and for the meal and drinks it cost about 15 pound all night, also the aida was very good. you can get to both of these in a tut tut for about 300 rupees return, sometimes the driver will wait for you or return when you say, don't pay till you return,. Just going back to the hotel in the tut tut will put a smile on your face. Happy days can't wait to go back!
