Comments:
A slightly faded resort hotel in need of freshening, but very comfortable, clean, reasonably priced & well-positioned right on the beach. The Sandpiper stands up well against the local competition. What the Sandpiper lacks in variety, it makes up for in attentiveness from reception & serving staff. For those who want more from their accomodation, the facilities of the nearby Island Grand sister hotel are open to all Sandpiper guests...... St Pete Beach & the local folk were overwhelmingly natural & friendly - a refreshing change from the conveyor-belt toothy grins of Orlando.
