The Italian food is wonderful and interesting, a varied selection and plenty of it. The free hotel bus to Sorrento is once an hour, about quarter of an hour ride. Capri, Herculaneum, Pompeii, and Vesuvius can be reached easily by local transport. The hotel staff are excellent and have been with the hotel for years. It was noticeable that many visitors had stayed at La Solara before and when we visit again it would be La Solara for us.
