| | Comments: | Sorrento is a wonderful place to stay: plenty to do: shops, cafes, restaraunts and very picturesque. It is not expensive to eat out in Italy and I recommend that you try the local food and wine. The Italians are great and always seem happy. Sorento is a great place to be based for seeing all the sights of the Neapolitan Riviera: Capri, Amalfi, Ravello, Naples, Ischea, Pompeii etc. And all easy to get to by boat or train; public transport is really cheap in italy.
The Conca Park is a very good hotel, but is up a steep hill. After looking at some of the reviews it seems the food has improved as we found it very good with a varied choice everyday with plenty of fresh fish available. The breakfasts are especially good. Also the tables are well spaced out and they don't fill them up: couples have a table to themselves. The place is very clean and the staff are helpfull. I would recommend it.
