Barut Hotels Arum is a 5 star hotel, located on the beach, close to the historical resort of Side which is 3 kilometres away. Situated on a peninsula about 1000 metres long and 400 metres wide, Side used to be commercial port and one of the most important trade centres and now it is one of the most popular holiday resort in Turkey. Side has many attractions including its city walls and harbour. The complex has a main building with 5 floors, 2 lifts and you will be welcomed with a great smile by the friendly staff. Barut Hotels Arum is 60km to Antalya International Airport, 10km to Manavgat and 3km to Side. Rooms at the Barut Hotels Arum have a bathroom, WC, shower, TV, air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, mini bar, safety box and a balcony or terrace. Facilities at the Barut Hotels Arum include two outdoor swimming pools, indoor swimming pool, childrens pool, sun beds, parasols, private beach, fitness centre, sauna, Turkish bath, massage, tennis court, squash court, table tennis, mini golf, pool table, beach volleyball, mini club for 4-12 year olds, childrens playground, water sports, mini market, boutique, leather & carpet shop, jewellery shop, hairdresser, photography, currency exchange, doctor, car rental, disco and a full day and evening entertainment programme that includes Turkish nights, live music and shows. =============================================================================== Meals & Drinks...B&B . HB . All Inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant . Comments:
The Arum is the best hotel I have stayed in and Portland provided the best price. Grounds and hotel are spotlessly clean and there is a huge choice of food at both breakfast and dinner. The location is a little outside of Side but there are bars and shops near to the hotel, and Side itself is easily and cheaply reached by dolmus. The swimming pools are huge and although there are a lot of guests at the hotel it still feels spacious and uncrowded. It is also a bonus not having to pay for sunbeds on the beach. Drinks and snacks are fairly expensive in the hotel though which would be quite pricey for a family with children. The only critisism would be that the air conditioning in the hotel room during my holiday was inadequate and seemed to consist of just a fan. As the temperature reached 30 at night it made sleeping very difficult! Despite this I would be happy to recommend the Arum. London
