Club Kadikale Address: The Kadikale Resort is located superbly on a private beach in Turgutreis. Bodrum city centre is 22 kilometres away, while the International Airport is 51 kilometres away. Dining options at this glorious complex include a full buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner with a variety of Turkish, Aegean and International cuisine in the main restaurant, which has indoor and outdoor sections. The hotel has a private beach and a beautiful open-air swimming pool, while the sports facilities are modern and varied. Guest rooms within the Kadikale Resort face either the sea or the idyllic gardens and come equipped with all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay, including en-suite bathroom. The holiday was great except for the rooms, they were drab and need modernising but they were clean and for the price I paid an excellent holiday. The rooms are due for modernisation next year so facilities will be about 4 star. Pros The food in the self service restaurant was the best I have had in Turkey over 16 years of holidaying there. The evening shows were very good The views from the pool bar across to Kos are quite stunning. Convenient for Turgutreis and Bodrum but far enough away from the crowds. The staff were always polite and the waiters friendly. The price of the holiday was cheaper than all the other quality hotels in the area. Cons The living accommodation was very shabby and the beds and pillows very uncomfortable and the bath rooms tiny, but it was clean. The pool bar was undermanned on all occasions one person serving 30 people no amount of complaining to our rep altered this. Other bars were OK. Turks and women always served with out delay, Brits are prepared to cue and were penalised for it. To obtain a sun bed in the shade a 5.30am start was required. Problems with drunken Turks around the pool one day. Hotel did nothing. With just a few problems the holiday was a great success, since then I have looked at the price for next year at the same time. The price has risen from £1100 - £1800 this is ridiculous as all the other 4 star hotels in the area are now £200 -£300 cheaper. The price rise is due to the modernisation of the rooms so I will not be going back. I was also told by the reps that the bar owners in Turgutreis are not getting enough trade so they are going to reduce the number of 'All Inclusive 'hotels to get more people in the bars and with prices of £1 a coffee or Coke it will get expensive. So a rethink for a holiday next year is on the cards.
