Alanya has good transport links with its surrounding areas and a small bus station in the centre of the city. We regularly used the local buses (the Dolmus) to travel in and out of the city. These run very frequently to all hotel areas (amongst others) but are primarily a LOCAL transport network so the majority of the passengers will be locals and not tourists.

Comments:
This Hotel, although very clean and attractive is very poor as an all inclusive hotel. There was a lack of staff which was very evident. Queues at the bar every meal time. Most of the time there would be one member of staff working the bar outside and also the lounge bar which was inside. There was only one tap of beer for both bars resulting in people getting restless and annoyed. The management were very arrogant,they seemend to have an 'i don't care' attitude. The hotel is situated on a dual carraigeway with traffic travelling at high speed. The pathway was dug up with road works when we were there.We asked if they could open the back gate so we could access the shops etc safely. Our answer was that it would be too dangerous.(the back gate opened on to a quiet street). The night entertainement was designed for turkish and german guests, who were quite hostile towards british guests. while we were there, there were a few assaults in the hotel,one of which was a young girl assaulted by a german male who was much older. The food wasn't too bad, but snack time was regulated, if it was the burger day there was one man cooking them and a huge queue waiting. There was nowhere to relax and chill at the hotel poolside. This area was very enclosed. The best part was the beach, brill.The old guy who looked after this area was lovely, he kept it spotless. The hotel is not in Alanya. It's at least a half hour bus ride away. The town the hotel is in, is being developed at the moment although this wasn't a problem because they're not allowed to work in the summer season. Back to turkey this year, but not to that fortress of a hotel!! East Lothian
