The Solemar Hotel is centrally located on the main coastal road going towards Rhodes Town and is a couple of minutes walk to the tavernas, shops and bars of Ixia and 7-8 minute walk along and across the main road to the beach. The hotel offers twin bedded rooms sleeping 2 people, some of which have air conditioning payable locally. | | Comments: | The hotel was the worst place i have ever stayed for the money i paid to stay there i could have had alot better! It ruined my whole holiday and has put me off going back to Rhodes i will never go back to the island i could not wait to come home.
Our room was so so hot even at night dead flower beds on our so called balcony the room was tiny for what i paid nothing worked in the room ie radio TV was not tuned in well lights not working no activities happened at the hotel unhelpful staff the food was nothing special - same breakfast every day i ended up not eating it as gave me upset stomach.
Pool area was never cleaned mould round side of it (don't be fouled by photos) toilets was disgusting could not use them is not kind of hotel i would take children if i had any nothing to do. I would not class this hotel as 3 star it is a small run down hotel which needs alot of work doing to it a holiday is supposed to be a great break and experience i got none of that and felt ripped off for what i paid if you are thinking of going to rhodes don't stay at the solemar hotel it will put you off the island!!
