A stunning, modern complex set within 80 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the Hilton Rhodes Resort is one of the most luxurious hotels on the island. The hotel is ideally placed, just 1 kilometre from the centre of Ixia and 4 kilometres west of Rhodes Town, and stands across the road from the beach, which is reached by a subway. Striking colourful architecture, lavish interior using local wood and marble, and impressive amenities ensure that the Hilton Rhodes Resort stands out. | | Comments: | We visted the Hilton for a week in June.I must say that the rooms were spacious and well set out as was the hotel itself. Nice friendly staff which I suppose is expected from a Hilton resort.
There is a couple of pools one of which is primarily for the kids. Again no complaints whatsoever. The resort is very nice indeed but the beach was really too stoney for our liking.
The beach was accessible through a tunnel or across a busy road. The general area outside of the hotel didn't really appeal to us. I would have prefferred it if the place was spruced up a bit. Mind you rhodes town is only down the road and is well worth a visit.
All in all we enjoyed our stay but would't say it was 5 star.
