| | Comments: | | This was supposed top be a 5 star hotel anat first glance it was beautifully decorated. The patio areas were really first class and so many to choose from. The rooms were very good too, large, excellent bathrooms including white towellign robes. However, the food was extremely repetitious and boring. The one free meal in the A La Carte Restaurant was a bit of a joke! The setting really is upmarket and what you would expect for a 5 star, just a pity about the quality and magre portions of food. WE kept asking for more bread rools to fill ourselves up. The pools are fabulous but the small pool bar closed at 3.00pm and opened again in the evening with one person working behind the bar. After lining up you had to wait up to 40 minutes to get a drink. Not much better in the bar in the mai hotel. I despise paying a lot of money for a 5 star All Inclusive and have to wait in a line to get a drink. There were six in our party and the one bar person would only give me 2 drinks. So I had go back twice to line up to get the other 4 drinks. By the time the last couple had got their drinks it was time to line up again. This took about an hour and 15 minutes for 6 of us to get a drink each! Got so fed up with lining up that we went down the road to a bar where we had waiter service! You should not have to go out and pay for drinks when you have paid a fortune for a 5 star AI. The First Choice rep was so profesional and after listening to our little whinges she spoke to the staff and they did get antoher person behind the bar. The best meal we had was In Rhodes Town where the food and service was excellent. Once again, you should not have to go out and pay for a meal. The animation team although very young, were great and we had a great night out with them. They work very hard to make your stay fun!
