Positioned against a mountain backdrop and affording marvellous views of the cliffs of Los Gigantes and the island of Gomera, the Tamaimo Tropical is set in mature tropical gardens about 100m from the coastline. The centre of the resort is 500m away and the airport 45 km away. The one-bedroom apartments are well equipped for a comfortable stay. Facilities within the rooms at the Tamaimo Tropical include a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a terrace or balcony, direct dial telephone, satellite TV and a safety deposit box. Each also has a kitchenette with four electric cooking rings, a fridge, toaster and a kettle. Most of the rooms have a view of the pool area.
Facilities at the Tamaimo Tropical include a 24 hour front desk, games room, parking, restaurant, miniature golf, tennis courts, and a Jacuzzi, or nearby activities such as horseback riding, nightclubs, water sports, car rental desk, currency exchange, outdoor pool and room service.

Meals & Drinks...SC . HB . All Inclusive programme consists of breakfast 08:00 - 10.00, lunch 13.00 - 15.00 and dinner 18.30 - 21.00 buffet style, served in the main restaurant . Snacks such as hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, cheeses, ice-cream, etc are available at the buffet restaurant until 18.00 . | | Comments: | I thought the price paid for 4 for a week in the sun was too good to be true. Would reccomend sun4u as a holiday provider re value for money because the holiday was what it said on the tin.
You could nitpick the accomodation, obviously an old complex, but when you lay by the lovely pool in 40% heat taking the odd plunge to cool off with nothing to worry about but what time to have lunch and your next drinky!!
Then much later sitting on your balcony wearing nothing but a smile at 2am!! watching the moon and stars - the odd irritation (plastic glasses!! - having to get your towels down at 8am to get sunbeds!! lack of aircon.
Apparently fans could have been hired at reception and to be fair to sun4u aircon was not in the guarenteed spec. All became insignificant.
We took 2 teenage girls. Perfect place as there was not a lot outside the hotel to tempt them to stray, unlike playa americas which we passed through.
They had their own room and chose to eat seperately from us which suited us all!!
FANTASTIC entertainment - best fum was watching people weave back to their rooms at midnight after an all inclusive sozzled evening!!
Food was pretty good on the whole but again lack of aircon in dining room was a bit clammy.
Would we go back? Yup, for that price (check out the website) but without teenagers!! Bless em!!
