The elegant Hotel Timanfaya Palace is located in the tourist centre of Playa Blanca, directly beside the sea and the promenade. The harbour is 1.5 km from the hotel and the town centre offering an array of shops and other entertainment venues lie some 2 km away and can easily be reached on foot. Puerto del Carmen is approximately 30 km away, the island capital of Arrecife 35 km and the airport 40 km from the hotel. All of these locations can easily be accessed by making use of the local public transport. A bus stop lies within about 2 km of the hotel.

| | Comments: | We found the hotel very pleasing to look at but is in need of a face lift. It looks very tired. Most of the public areas are ok at first glance but once you start to look around you see how tatty some parts are.
The staff were all very pleasant on the whole & the food was good with plenty of choice. I have to say I have had better at other 4 star hotels in the Canaries. I've also had worse!
We went half board with Direct Holidays who had just been taken over by the Thomas Cook group.
Going out we flew from L/B with Iberworld, it was a good flight which ran on time. Coming back we flew with Thomas Cook.
We had to wait nearly an hour at the airport before they started to check any one in & once we finally got through check in etc. the flight was delayed for over 4 hours with hardly any information as to why & to top it off our luggage was sent to Manchester on another flight!
We love Lanzarote & will go back again but not to the same hotel & not with the Thomas Cook group if we can help it.
