The Triton Hotel is situated right on the coastline in central Benalmadena, next to the attractive marina. The town has a harbour and marina, great beaches, some man made and a large selection of watersports. The modern promenade is bordered with a fine selection of shops, restaurants and bars and the town has an extensive nightlife. This hotel has pretty gardens and an excellent sea view from the terraces and pool area. Most of the beaches are small and sandy and there are at least 6 along the Benalmadena coastline. There are golf courses available nearby and the hotel is just 15 minutes from the airport. Rooms at the Triton Hotel have air conditioning, telephone, TV, mini bar, safety deposit box, private bathroom, WC, shower and a balcony or terrace. | | Comments: | On arrival at Malaga airport, found tour rep and were told that the coach to resort would be 'along shortly' as the driver was having 'a bad Day' on arrival of coach, we asked which side of the coach for our luggage, received no answer only a blank stare. (I paid for the privilidge), so 'my bad day' started. Got taxi to resort, 25euros, arrived at hotel. Checked in.
On entering room, went to see the view, small square and a few blocks of flats, not too bad. Back into room, bathroom only half lights, bathroom door rotten at the bottom with water from the shower, wardrobe doors(2)in bedroom
one of which had stopped sliding, lock on sliding patio door hanging loose with 2 diffent Philips screws (they ask that you make sure doors are locked when leaving the room). At night found the the balcony was above a resteraunt
in the small square, no noise, but if we EVER smell cooking oil again......@
No bars open IN the hotel, only by the pool. Large rooms on floor where indoor bar was, were completely empty. Have been informed that all the hotels can make up their own Star rating, ours was 4 Star (should have been 4 quarters)
to make one. Built in 1961, the hotel in in 365 days a year use, so no time for refurbishment. Never again, and no more paying for transfers, any spellin
mistakes regretted.
