| | Comments: | This is a fantastic hotel with excellent food and facilities but don't go expecting to be 'in the thick of it!' as you will need to catch a bus into benalmadena, fuengirola etc.
The hotel lays on a courtesy bus a few times a day and they also provide you with free towels for the pools, just collect from reception and return them when you have done!
If you love swimming you will be spoiled for choice with 2 pools, 1 indoor with a jacuzzi, and the sea on your doorstep!
The food is top class and caters for everyone and the mealtimes are very flexible.
No one will tell you, i suspect, that there is a train station up the road, head towards bus stop across the road and go upwards[ takes about 5 mins] it's quite a steep hill but worth the walk as trains arrive every 30 mins, are on time and air conditioned, they cost approx 1euro 10 cents each way. If you use this service to benalmadena it will bring you out at the top of towm [arroya de la miel] where you can find a vast array of cheap bars. Walk down to bonanza square where there are lots of bars and it's very child friendly.
There is so much to see and do on the costa del sol that i couldn't possibly list it all, but try and fit in a boat trip, mijas, gibralter and the sealife centre.
Playa bonita would score a 9 out of 10 for me in the ratings, we found it to be a beautiful hotel with a queen sized bed each to sleep in, air con that you can use all day and night if you wish, wonderful food and facilities, but as we went in the height of summer i found the position of the hotel to be an inconvenience!
