I write this in Sept 2006.
The hotel has been closed for over a year for refubishment.
Most of the gardens have been dug up and flats are being built on it.
We have been to the hotel several times (which means we loved it, but we are old (55+)).
When it reopens, we will visit again, but we suspect it will not be as good.
