Weather Information Average Temperatures Hours of Sunlight General Information El Gouna is built on a series of Lagoons and islands. It has been likened to 'Venice of the red sea'. El gouna is about 30 minutes north of Hurghada, the areas biggest resort. Gourmet people will be pleased by the variety and excellence of the many restaurants and cafes, there are european and oriental specialities and an abundance of fresh sea food. El Gouna operates a dine- around scheme which allows guest staying on a half board or full board basis to sample a variety of different reastaurants around the resort were they recieve a set amount of credit towards their meal.
