Weather Information Average Temperatures Hours of Sunlight General Information Hurghada was founded in the early 20th century and untill a few years ago it remained a small fishing village. Now it is the best known tourist attraction of the Red Sea coast and is an international center for aquatic sports. The warm waters here are a haven for rare fish and reefs, which you can also observe from glass bottom boats. The restaurants are all along the main road.
