Weather Information Average Temperatures Hours of Sunlight General Information Sousse lies about 22 miles from the airport at Monastir, and is a working town with a large commercial centre and walled city. The tourist area is about 1 mile away, and has a full range of accommodation on offer from 2 to 5 star hotels and a couple of self-catering apartments. Long stretches of good sandy beaches have a multitude of water sports to try, and with camel and horse riding , there's always lots to do. Numerous shops selling the usual souvenirs can be found here, but expect to haggle for everything. The nights are very lively, as the bars and cafes fight it out with the hotels for the tourist trade.
