It has plenty of places to eat, and with a staple diet of meat, fish, vegetables and fresh fruit, Portuguese traditional food is extremely healthy, and local dishes of: Arroz de Polvo ( octopus pieces in onions and tomatoes ), Caldeirada ( fish stew ), Cataplana ( pork and clams stewed in a wok ) and Espetadas ( skewered meat ) are all excellent and well worth a try Other tastes are also catered for including, British, Italian and Chinese. The local beers and wines are of a very high quality, with special imported ones available in most bars and restaurants.
