Weather Information Average Temperatures General Information Austria has a wide range of ski resorts to choose from, some are more suitable for beginners, some for intermediates and some more suited to the more accomplished skier. Some resorts also suitable for non-skiers due to their beautiful surroundings, include Kitzbuhel, Seefeld and Zell Am See. Kitzbuhel in particular is a world famous ski resort and for years has been one of Austria's top ski resorts, with excellent slopes for all levels of skier. In fact the famous Hahnenkamm Streif is widely recognised as one of the most testing of all racing pistes. Kitzbuhel has everything a fashionable ski resort should have, quality restaurants, sophisticated night-club, a casino as well as numerous slopes. Also popular is the attractive village of Seefeld, which has twice hosted the Winter Olympics. Situated close to Innsbruck it is recognised as in international ski resort with superb facilities in particular the 250kms of cross country skiing tracks.
