Weather Information Average Temperatures General Information Alanya lies about 75 miles from the airport at Antalya and can almost be classed a city due to it's size. The huge amount of hotels (over 300), tend to fall in the budget range, although there are some good standard ones along the near 8 mile stretch of coastline. The noise levels due to the proximity of the main highway can be very annoying, with hotels facing the road suffering the most. Beaches however, are quite good and made up of a gritty sand where a reasonable amount of water sports can be enjoyed. Shopping is a great experience as the narrow roads house a multitude of small shops selling everything from Ali-Baba ashtrays to Carpets. The castle and Red tower are well worth a visit during the day, while the night time brings a massive selection of bars and cafes to life.
