Weather Information Average Temperatures General Information Qawra is located on the North East coast of Malta and one of the 2 popular tourist areas of St Pauls Bay. Located on the Qawra peninsular between St Pauls Bay to the North and Salina Bay to the South, Qawra is part of St paul's Bay. 15km from Valletta. Located next to and to the North East and East of Bugibba , the other popular resort.. On the other side of Bugibba is the old town of St Pauls bay. This is a popular tourist area and part of neighbouring resorts, Bugibba and St pauls Bay, stretching for 5km along St Paul’s Bay, around Qawra Point and into Salina Bay Local Food Popular European destinations will always have their traditional food influenced by the many tourists that visit their country, and Malta is no different. You'll find plenty of British style meals available here, from burgers to pizzas and all served with chips if that's how you like it. Look around, and you'll also find the odd Italian, French or Chinese restaurant, but you must try the local specials like: Lampuki pie ( filleted Dorado mixed with vegetable, rice & pasta ), Timpani (pasta in meat sauce with a pastry top ) and Pastizzi ( cheese wrapped in pastry ). Imported beers can be bought in nearly all the bars, but the local beers and lagers are very high quality, as are the red and white wines.
