Weather Information Average Temperatures General Information Polis is on the western coast and lies about 25 miles from the airport at Paphos. A charming and friendly resort, the mix of sand and shingle beach is situated within a campsite, and has sufficient water sports available to keep you busy throughout the day. Small aparthotels dominate the accommodation, and the shopping will just about cater for all your holiday needs. One disco and a few bars provide the night time entertainment, and are clustered around the village square. Local Food A more relaxed atmosphere can be found in the traditional tavernas and fish restaurants, with a great deal of time spent on presentation and quality. The excellent local dishes are a must, and the usual friendly Cypriot waiters are only too happy to serve you 'till you want to leave. A few pubs and bars have some variety of English style food, I.e. Burgers, pizzas, etc. and the local beers are great but do be careful of all the Brandy Sours you'll be expected to drink, as it's made on the island, and is virtually given away.
