Description
Terryglass is a charming village which has won numerous tidy towns awards and is very popular with local boaters. The harbour at Terryglass is quite small and lends itself to a friendly, sociable atmosphere. A short walk up the hill will bring you to the village itself which has a craft centre, shop and two pubs - which are both renowned for good food, music and craic. Terryglass is the site of a 6th century monastic settlement, of which only a small part remains, but the area is very historic. There are some beautiful craft shops and local food shops in this area, so be sure to allow extra shopping time on your trip.
