Description St. Barth is a duty-free port and a Mecca for shoppers with all the high-end designers present and accounted for and loads of trendy boutiques. Since the advent of the first jet setters, St. Barth has been a favorite vacation spot of the rich and famous which is part of the island’s mystique. They frequent the chic bistros and shops and celebrity spotting is part of the fun. The Nightlife often begins with sunset cocktails, a veritable St. Barth tradition and then revolves around a leisurely dinner at one of the many exceptional restaurants. Some of these morph into a bar scene as the night progress and one can enjoy live music. There are a few discos, but all-in-all St. Barth’s nightlife is relatively low-key, which suits everyone fine as most people come for the island’s natural beauty, its uniquely Gallic culture and that oft-mentioned ambiance of casual sophistication. Throughout the year, there are a number of fun local festivals. There are so many different pristine white-sandy beaches you could visit a different one each day. You could go on a hike to explore them or take a picnic and enjoy some sandwiches whilst enjoying the sunset.
