Description Skopelos Town is the main town on the Island of Skopelos. This Aegean harbour town gives the real Greek feel with its two and three storey bloomed white town houses which lead uphill to the pine clad hills and the Acropolis of Peparithos. From here magnificent views of the harbour and surrounding areas can be viewed.
Known as the island of wine, grapes are grown in abundance. This will become evident as you travel out of the town to the main resort of Stafylos Beach or the truly beautiful Panoramos Bay.
Skopelos has been protected from the excesses of other Greek Islands so a visit here will surely be one of peace and tranquillity.
The island does not have an airport, so the final part of your journey will be by hydrofoil from Skiathos. Skiathos airport to your destination in Skopelos Town should add about 3 hours to your journey if all connections are made.
