Description Potami is on northeast coast of the island of Samos. The beach which is pebbly is accessible by car or on foot from Karlovassi which lies east of Potami beach. The waters on the beacat Potami Beach are crystal clear. The beach itself has not been developed so gives the opportunity for a bit of solitude which can be difficult on some of the other Greek islands. Due to the lack of development, please ensure that you bring all necessary supplies need for a hard days sunbathing !
If you need a break from lying on the beach, make sure to add a walk by the river up to the waterfalls. The walk which is about 1.5 miles, will take you through a scenic forest and eventually to a small lake where you can take a swim. The falls which are are a series of short drops in the river’s level are straight ahead.
