Larnaca lies about 4 miles from the airport, and it's wonderful promenade runs the full length of the town, with all the amenities strung either side of it. The beaches that sit at both ends are excellent, with plenty of great sand and beautiful clear blue water. MacKenzie houses the harbour area, while Larnaca Dekelia can get very crowded during the high season, as the locals tend to enjoy an evening stroll here. A large amount of hotel and apartment accommodation can be found here, while the shopping is probably some of the best you will find at any holiday destination, anywhere in the world. The same can almost be said about the night life, with a massive amount of bars, pubs and some discos to keep you going throughout the evening.
